There was one really good document of baboons (and monkeys etc.) on the tv. I watched it and was stunned when they told how complicated social lives baboons have. Anyway, after a while I felt like I had seen it before. Baboon life is like from a reality show: if you wan't to get laid you have to be very friendly to all the bitches in the group and then it's a good idea to become a friend of the boss if you want to wiiiiin! Large brain isn't so bad thing either. You can actually tell how big baboon's group was from his brain (bigger brain = bigger group, because the social life is more complicated in bigger groups). And baboons aren't so different than people after all: class society. Baboons from higher classes are allowed to take food from other baboons' mouth (lowlier) if they don't have anything to eat. Looks pretty ugly. The lowlier baboons made it hard to steal from their mouth but they gave up in the end. Isn't that exactly like in any human society? It's hard not to believe in evolution.

EDIT (October 12th 2005): I'm pretty sure that the brain size of humans is the opposite. The bigger the group is the smaller are the brains of the members... Just take a look at bunch of teenage kids spending time in a mall..or in a classroom. Then separate them and their brains get suddenly bigger.

It was the first day at work today. At first I felt I had forgot everything though I've been working in that same place several times before (local branch library). But I hadn't forgotten very many things and I even learned new things. I'm very bad what it comes to handling money. I'm not a money person. But I'm getting better. I was a little nervous mostly because now I got this educational background and I actually should be able to do everything. It's not like before.

Then I got my results from the university. Yea. I didn't get in. What a surprise. Not. But I'm not disappointed. I'm glad. I did pretty good in that entrance exam (39/60) considering that I didn't even read the whole book through.

What else. I've been following news as often as possible. Stupid hurricane near Yucatán, Mexico. I wish that a net friend of mine is ok. It's interesting that sometimes I'm able to forget the whole world and all uncomfortable things going on. Then sometimes awareness climbs up on ..much..higher level. Starting to believe that I really live on a planet Earth with 6 billion other people. And that bananas doesn't grow in supermarkets. And many much more important things that I'm not going to list here. Because if you understand a word I'm writing here you know what I mean. If not, forget it.

Oh I forgot to mention that I'm really laughing my ass off when I read about Finnish "myrskybongarit" (people who follow "thunders" in Finland). Kinda sad.

I don't really have anything to say. On a beautiful hot day like this. I think I'm more productive when the weather is bad and I have something to whine about. Whining is the best way to recognize a typical Finnish person. I've been waiting this weather 14 months so can't complain. I bought vendilador... ventilateur..ventilator.. a table fan... now I'm maybe able to sleep. English words are weird. "a table fan". A fan of tables? Who likes tables that much?

All the newspapers (in Finland) have written about what Mr Chirac said about Finnish food. Or about British food. That only Finnish food is worse than British food. My humble opinion about that: SO true! I don't know are all his opinions good but that one is. I don't eat Finnish food so much. Except Finnish vegetables, naturally. And the reason is that traditional Finnish dishes are really weird.

When I woke up (around 1 pm) it's usually sunny. But when I've eaten my breakfast (laugh, go ahead) and taken a shower and I'm ready to go, it's cloudy! Eeeevery day the same thing! I wanna feel the sun, thanks!

But I'm including this photo of chicken life here just because outdoor advertising company JCDecaux (and hey, f**k JCDecaux!!! they suck biiiiig time, no matter how 14-year-old that sounds) stopped Animalia's (Finnish animal protection society) street advertisement campaign with no good reason last week. (Ok. They had a reason. "Oh, the feedback was so bad that we had to took those advertisements down. But we don't know where that feedback came from because we don't save our customer feedbacks." Haha. Like companies would do that. They should've made up a little better lie. IMHO.)

Some farmer gave this statement for press that those pictures would lie. That they have nothing to do with modern animal farming. Sure. He gotta be telling the ultimate truth. I usually never write about these kinds of things to my blog because nobody's interested (not even me, I dont have to tell me about these things 'cause I already know) but I hate censorship over everything. And some people still call our land "civilized". I'm not buying that. I'm returning that.
