All about cards

All supermarkets in Finland have these so called "benefit cards". If you have that plastic card you get things with lower price, more advertisements straight to your mail box (not email, snail mail) and better life (and in some cases you can use their bathroom). And every time you go to a supermarket and you're paying, check-out person asks "You got ***** card?". They never remember if I have it or not even though I've told them 10 times before "No". And sometimes I can see on their faces that they remember but they have to ask anyway because somebody has said they gotta do that.

And there's nothing I can do about it. I planned to print a t-shirt with text "No, I don't have your stupid card and I'm never gonna get one either!" But I think it wouldn't help.

I also have five library cards, ID card, driver's license, bank card, bus card, phone card, copy card.... and some other cards... It's a deck of cards really. But I don't know which one is the trump card. If there even is one. I've never won anything.

Women ministers are idiots. Dot. Com.

My life is going to be very boring. Why? Minister of Transport and Communications of Finland wants this law that people gotta wear a helmet when cycling. We already have that law but this new suggestion is that it would be punishable. How ridiculous is that? My life is already boring and the only exciting thing for me is to ride a bike without a helmet. It's dangerous and I know I can die anytime. Hmmm. Or then my "new dangerous thing" would be running away from the police!! To a forest so they couldn't catch me. Or then they should chase me, that would be fun! It wouldn't be so bad to be caught by men in uniforms..hmmmhhh.... icon_wink

But seriously. I made some calculations. Helmets could safe life of 22,54 people in a year. It's not that much. More people die when they celebrate Mid Summer, May Day etc (Finnish style). And it would be really shitty feeling when the temperature is above 25 (or even less) and you just have to wear a helmet. Because I'm not that stupid. I do use a helmet but not always. That's called common sense I think.

But there gotta be something more dangerous that kills more people that is also still legal. Smoking??? Fast food???? Just these two things to mention. It feels like the stupidest laws are always made up by a female minister. Like that new copyright law last year. (Maybe because they don't know anything about traffic and technology. They just have great ideas.) And now this. If they let it happen. Of course they will. They never use a bike.

UPDATE: That law failed! HAH!!!! That minister girl said she never had said anything about that.. hehe. Sucker.

Dull trousers for a dull person

People talked to each other in the bus when I came home from the town today. I'm still shocked. That never happens in Finland. It's forbidden. You're not allowed to speak to strangers.

I went shopping after my driving lesson. I had to buy old-woman's-trousers. I need a job and I'm sure I will never get it. But maybe I have better chances if I look like other library assistants. They are dull colored and straight (I mean the trousers..not the other assistants..ok..they also look like that ;) ).... like jacket suit trousers. But pretty loose. I'm not going to sacrifice everything. They say that "you should just be yourself" when you go to a job interview. Bullshit. If I ever go to a job interview "as myself" (For a job in a LIBRARY! see, this is important: Library = boring old women choose the person for a job and they don't want to choose anyone TOO dissimilar person. Actually you shouldn't be a person, you should be similar with library. ) They think I'm 14 years old teenager looking for a summer job and somehow just got lost. Yea. I know. Haha. I just threw the money away because I don't have any chances to have a job anyway. I don't have enough work experience and I need a job to have that. The old circle. Libraries have to announce about all the free work places even though they already know their going to choose certain person. That's a stupid law because if I go to a job interview for no reason to a galaxy far far far far far (far far) away it costs me a lot.

Wanna read more whining? I'm out. Now I'm going to make a marinade for my tofu. Yummm.
